We recently received an invitation to stay overnight at Downstream Casino Resort and enjoy a meal at The Red Oak Steakhouse. We have visited Downstream numerous times and found them to be exceptionally accommodating.
Upon arrival, we were given an executive king room. Often, hotel rooms have extravagant names, but this one truly lived up to its promise. After exiting the elevator on the second floor, we took a left and followed the hallway to our room at the very end.
As we stepped into the room, we were greeted by a spacious foyer and a breathtaking executive king room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was expansive, and my wife loved the makeup area.
We arrived slightly ahead of our dinner reservation at the Red Oak Steakhouse and were seated without delay. Our server, Alyssa, greeted us with warmth and a delightful sense of humor. We began our meal with the chophouse portobello mushroom appetizer, which was outstanding.
For the main course, we both opted for the New York strip, a delectable 14-ounce cut. Accompanying our meal was a loaded baked potato and the most incredible macaroni and cheese we’ve ever tasted. The portions were so generous that we couldn’t finish them and enjoyed the leftovers for dinner the following night. The food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding.
The Red Oak Steakhouse may be on the pricier side, but it excels in every aspect. While the slots weren’t favorable for us that evening but that is gambling.
Downstream Casino Resort offers a fantastic array of entertainment, a spacious gaming floor, excellent accommodations, and diverse dining options to suit any budget.
We appreciate Downstream for their support of our livestreams on our YouTube channel.
